October 4th Nagoya Festival Parade

The highlight of Nagoya Festival Parade was Konishiki, the former Hawaiian Sumo with his wife. It was total surprise to see him in the parade. He was sponsored by Toyota.

The parade started at Nagoya castle. People in the parade were dressed up in the 16th century samurai costumes.

It was very hot day, and I felt sorry to the people who had to wear heavy kimonos and walk several miles.
